High-Precision Face Photo Quality Checks
Face SDK 3.28 introduces two quality estimation modules:
- Quality Control — cut facial recognition errors by filtering out low-quality photos (blurred, too small, rotated, etc.) before they enter the pipeline. The core modification checks face size, frontal view, noise and other parameters for both recognition and Liveness detection, and returns a clear pass/fail verdict with a list of failed checks. Perfect for remote identification and access control.
- Quality Assessment — make sure every facial image meets international standards (ISO/IEC 19794-5:2011, ICAO Guidelines) with a comprehensive set of checks.
3X Faster Face Database Search
With DynamicTemplateIndex and MATCHER_MODULE, searching your face database is now three times faster. Plus, support for AVX-512 instructions gives an additional speed boost on compatible processors.
+14% More Accurate Liveness Detection
The fifth version of the LIVENESS_ESTIMATOR (2d_ensemble) raises attack detection accuracy by roughly 14% at default thresholds. Even at a stricter target BPCER (from 5% to 1%), it outperforms all previous Liveness modules.
