The first Nuidroid module released is Nuidroid Body. It provides segmentation and full body skeletal tracking (16 joints) from depth map. After almost three years of R&D Nuidroid Body highly sophisticated proprietary computer vision algorithms ensure seamless operation on ARM platform. With Nuidroid Body installed and a 3D sensor plugged-in (either stereo or IR) Android devices are capable to perceive body movements and translate them into commands so that users can control applications and games with gestures.
Using Nuidroid, platform owners and application developers will be able to easily add motion control to any existing or new Android application enriching Android user experience in dancing and fitness applications, games, presentations, interactive displays or whatever else their imagination can create.
The package which is now available for download at nuidroid.com includes Nuidroid Body and a couple of gesture controlled demo games to explore the future of Android natural user interface in action.
